What runs where
Flux 2 Dev is in our hosted image catalog under the id flux-2-dev, next to Flux Schnell for fast drafts and Flux Dev for quality work. All three render on managed NVIDIA H100, A100 and B200 class GPUs. You type a prompt, the job goes into the render queue, and the finished image comes back to the gallery on your account.
A local run is the other option, and it is a real one if you own the hardware. Diffusion models want a card with plenty of VRAM, a working driver stack and a few tens of gigabytes of disk for the checkpoints. Our guide to generating images on your own computer walks through that setup. If you do not have the card, hosted rendering costs less than one evening of renting one.
What the image studio does
- Text to image on 10 hosted image models, Flux 2 Dev among them.
- Editing. Paint a mask on a region and rewrite just that part, or use the instruction based editors that rework the frame from a sentence.
- Background removal, object eraser and upscale, so a draft can become a finished asset without leaving the tab.
- Character training. Train a LoRA on your own reference images and generate with it afterwards, on Flux and on the other trainer families.

Those image counts are estimates from the credit budget, not a quota: one pool pays for text, images and video, so a week of video eats the month of images. Rendering happens on shared hardware, so a job can sit in a queue for a moment when the fleet is busy. The catalog is curated: we host open-weight models we have priced and tested, and you cannot bring your own base checkpoint, though you can train a LoRA on top of ours. Account data is hosted in the EU and you can delete it yourself. We never train on your data and we never sell it.
